Taste of the Blackwood is a fantastic new event presented by Taste of Balingup in partnership with the Blackwood Valley Wine Industry Association.

The Blackwood River Valley region has had a long and prosperous past as a food producing area. The landscape constantly reminds us that the region was once a major beef, dairy and fruit producing area and yet today, despite the difficulties farming faces, many progressive farmers and industrious artisans are ensuring that the Blackwood River Valley region is still a primary player in what we know as the food bowl of the South West.

Come along to Taste of the Blackwood and reconnect with those who grow your food. Produce from Boyup Brook to Nannup, Bridgetown to Balingup will be available to taste and purchase. On site chefs will tantalise your taste buds and fun food activities run by Slow Food Perth will keep the kids occupied.

Find us at the Bridgetown Civic Centre Saturday the 9th and Sunday the 10th June,  2012.
